 Terry and I spent a week in Janesville, WI at Quilt Central Academy training on the long arm. These are some of our practice pieces.

Choosing thread color

 

Choosing thread color is always part of the process. In this case our customer wasn't here in the studio so we snapped some pics and sent them. 

Lap Quilt - Junior Raffle Quilt

The Circle W Quilters asked for another quilt to be completed. They have created a larger version to be raffled as a fund raiser.  This lap quilt was made with leftover blocks and they decided to showcase it with the larger quilt.   Here is the junior version we quilted:

Our Rockport, Texas guild, The Piece Makers by the Bay creates quilts for children, nursing homes, veterans and other local charities.

Nursing Home Quilts - Learning Curve Continues

Here are some of the quilts the Circle W Quilters sent over for long arm quilting.  We continued to experiment with the machine and discover new patterns as well as machine features.

We had a steep learning curve and we just started the process with this quilt.  We had fun with this one!

New Arrival: Long Arm Quilting Machine!!!!!

Christy and I tackle our first quilt on the new long arm quilting machine.  The machine is an Ansley 26 Tin Lizzie.  The studio is completed but is currently my home and store room while my house is being remodeled. Hopefully, by mid summer things will be settled and the studio will actually be a full time studio.  Christy and I look forward to having gatherings with family as well as friends we know and friends we have yet to meet.
